Sarah and Ryan tied the knot on a beautiful (and warm) October day on Martha’s Vineyard. Both the bride and groom had large wedding parties, (9 and 8 respectively), which can be both fun and challenging for any photographer. For this wedding, all bridal pre-ceremony preparation took place in a gorgeous seaside cottage in Oak Bluffs, masterfully renovated recently. It was like stepping back in time to the Victorian era, and the wedding details replicated that feeling. Upstairs Sarah had displayed her Essence of Australia wedding dress on the bed canopy which made for an instant beautiful fine art photograph. Sarah looked stunning in this dress, accented by a beautiful wedding bouquet crafted by Emily at Morrice Florist. Playing with the available light and a composition opportunity, I posed Sarah at the bottom of the stairs for a classic photo that she’ll cherish. Afterwards we headed for Ocean Park for bridal party photos, a fun photo spot for those looking for location ideas. All 9 bridesmaids looked amazing in their Jenny Yoo dresses.
The couple exchanged their wedding rings at a beautiful ceremony at Trinity Church next to the Tabernacle. The church steps made a great spot to capture the wedding party, highlighting some of its Victorian architectural details as a bonus. Onward to the reception venue. Farm Neck Golf Club always does a wonderful job as a wedding venue and this event was no exception. I put #CamdenDrone in the sky for some drone photos, capturing a unique perspective of the bride and groom walking and also elevating the drone enough to capture the glorious sunset.
